Ginger and Fred dance across the riverbank in this deconstructivist masterpiece by Frank Gehry. The top floor restaurant offers river and castle views. The building replaced a bomb-damaged structure from WWII.

Fortress on a hill overlooking the Vltava River with panoramic city views. Less crowded than Prague Castle but just as historic. The underground crypt houses tombs of famous Czechs including Dvořák.

Josefov district preserves centuries of Jewish heritage with six surviving synagogues and the historic Old Jewish Cemetery. The Maisel and Pinkas synagogues are particularly moving. Allow 2-3 hours to visit all sites.

New Town's main boulevard where Czech history was made - from independence protests to the 1968 invasion. The National Museum crowns the upper end. Shopping and nightlife animate the square after dark.
